Our History

A Legacy of Advocacy & Empowerment

The Asian American Attorneys Association (AAAA) was founded to address the unique challenges facing Asian American legal professionals in the United States. From our humble beginnings in New York, we have grown into a nationally recognized non-profit organization serving attorneys across multiple states.

Over two decades, AAAA has built an interactive community platform that brings together legal professionals from diverse backgrounds and practice areas, strengthening our collective influence within the American legal system.

Today, AAAA stands as a national leader in Asian American legal advocacy, with a robust network of members, partners, and supporters dedicated to advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion in the legal profession.

Early 2000s

Foundation

Founded by visionary Asian American attorneys in New York to create a unified voice for the community in the legal profession.

2005

Multi-State Expansion

Expanded to multi-state operations covering California and Texas, broadening our reach and impact across the nation.

2010

CLE & Mentorship Programs

Launched CLE training sessions and structured mentorship programs to accelerate the professional development of our members.

2015

National Partnerships

Established partnerships with major legal organizations nationwide, enhancing our advocacy and service capabilities.

2020

500+ Active Members

Grew to over 500 active members across the United States, becoming one of the most influential Asian American bar associations.

Non-Profit Compliance: AAAA maintains full compliance with federal and state non-profit regulations, including regular filings, financial audits, and public disclosure requirements.

501(c)(3) Status: Our tax-exempt status under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code means all donations to AAAA are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.
